For teeth whitening:

• Take half a spoon of activated charcoal powder in a non-metallic bowl and mix it into a fine paste with some water.
• Take little amounts of the paste on your index finger and rub it against your teeth and gums.
• Rinse your mouth with normal water.
  
  For intestinal gas, the dosage could range from 500 to 1,000 mg per day. A lower daily dose of 4 to 32 grams is recommended for lowering cholesterol levels. Some doctors or naturopathic doctors might prescribe activated charcoal to be taken once or twice a day for detox purposes. Should be taken on empty stomach.
