Kashmir Lavender combined with Rosewood with notes of cedar wood and basil give a light floral and woody fragrance that appeals to all. These scented wax tablets can be used in closets, drawers, cupboards and also for long term storage of woolens and seasonal apparel.

Scented Wax Tablets are a safe alternative to synthetic fragrance sachets and wardrobe fresheners. They are bars of wax that have been infused with a blend of essential oils to impart fragrance to small spaces such as wardrobes, closets and drawers.

INGREDIENTS

Our hand poured and crafted wax tablets are made using harvested beeswax and sunflower wax infused with carefully selected essential oils of Kashmir Lavender, Rosewood (Reconstituted), Holy Basil, Cedarwood (Deodar) and Himalayan Moss.

Decorated with dried lavender buds and rose petals, the wax tablets can also be left out to delicately fragrance a room.

Each wax tablet is packed in a unique palm leaf pouch.

Lavender is one of the most versatile and popular essential oils in aromatherapy being well known to calm anxiety and promote a sense of well being. It as a light floral and woody fragrance. The lavender essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from lavender flowers. Lavender sachets made from dried lavender buds filled inside muslin bags have been used since ancient times to keep linens fresh as well being placed below pillows for good sleep. While not endemic to India,  lavender grown in Kashmir (of the genus Lavendula Augustifolia) is today one of the highest quality lavenders found in the world.

Rosewood oil has is a light and floral fragrance and is a lovely compliment to Lavender. Due to the endangered status of the Rosewood tree, the Rose wood oil we use is carefully reconstituted.

Holy Basil or Tusli is known as the “elixir of life” in Ayurveda benefiting body, mind and spirit. Its fragrance is spicy, sweet and herbaceous-minty. It is a powerful anti bacterial.

The top and middle fragrance notes have been balanced with earthy and base notes of Cedar Wood and Himalayan moss. Cedar Wood is a powerful insect repellent, with blocks of the wood often placed in spaces used for long term storage of woollen and other seasonal clothing. The cedar wood essential oil we use comes from the Himalayan Deodar tree (Cedrus Deodara).

USE AND CARE

Hang or place them in the desired location. Decorated with dried orange slices and eucalyptus leaves, the wax tablets can also be left out to delicately fragrance a room. In addition to their fragrance, the selected essential oils are known to be anti-microbial as well as insect repellent. Once opened the fragrance will generally last from 3- 6 months depending on the location and climate of use. If placing with clothes, it is recommended that the tablet be left in the inner paper cover.

End of life – Once the fragrance has diminished, the wax tablet can be creatively reused by melting it to make a jar candle.
