URBAN CREATIVE
Urban Creative is an endeavor to adapt our homes to a more sustainable and green way of life. We design and make earth-friendly home and kitchen products based on our three key guiding principles of minimalist design, locally sourced and sustainably produced. Our Guiding Principles are minimalist design, local sourcing and sustainable production. A lot of thought goes into the design of our products to keep them aesthetic and functional while using a few simple parts and minimizing wastage. This applies to how we size and design our products, how we cut our fabrics to how we reuse our waste. As far as possible we source all our materials locally to not only reduce our carbon footprint but also to support our local economy. We try our best to ensure that all the raw material that we procure is produced in a manner that will cause the least damage to the environment and provides local employment. Hence our focus on homegrown and organic products. We strive to be plastic-free as far as we can not only in our production process but also our packaging which is plastic-free composed largely of recyclable and biodegradable materials. At Urban Creative we understand that it’s not always easy to change to an alternative sustainable lifestyle, but it is important to make a start. In the words of zero waste chef Anne Marie Bonneau, “We don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.”
